Me and Mathias Verhasselt challenged each other to make an "inter-dimensional predator" for fun and practice; this is the creature I came up with. Heavily inspired by an illustration by Delaney King, and also by Takayuki Takeya and Keita Ameiya.

A hommage to the illustrator Patrick Woodroffe. Being given an art book of his at a very young age helped instill a big interested in art for me. I was lucky enough to have a tiny bit of email contact with him before he died, and he was profoundly nice and encouraging to me.
I made this image (two different versions shown) for a competition on the 3DLuVr web site, way back in 2001. I believe it was the first computer generated image that I shared online.
